Chocolate and caramel apples…

Chocolate and caramel apples...

I made my version of those expensive layered with everything but the kitchen sink apples. I used an assortment of sweets I had here at home. I had Oreos I crushed, heath bar crunch, slivered almonds I toasted lightly, shredded coconut I toasted lightly, mini reeses’s peanut butter cups I chopped up and white chocolate. I layered and layered and came up with some great flavors. I have to say they were not very pretty but they were really good.

Wheatfree Bread

Wheatfree Bread

I am experimenting with different flours since I recently found out I am allergic to wheat, rice and potato. I am not gluten intolerant and originally I thought I could use gluten free flour. But in my research I found out most wheat alternative flours are made with potato flour or rice flour.

Baked French Toast

Baked French Toast

One of my families favorite breakfasts is baked french toast.
I mix up my secret recipe the day before and let it sit over night marrying all the lovely flavors together. I either bake it like a casserole or I spoon it into individual ramekins and serve it as a side with bacon and eggs. I like to use brioche, challah or french bread. I serve it hot from the oven and it looks lovely like a soufflé.
